Fortune’s Cookie

by Rebecca M. Senese

The summer before university, Nola works the cash at Chen’s Fabulous Chinese Take-Out. When an irate customer complains about an empty fortune cookie, Nola discovers the entire supply is empty.

To avoid disaster, Nola comes up with a plan: home-made fortune cookies. Mr. Chen will bake the cookies and Nola will write the fortunes.

Just one problem: Nola has no idea what to write.
